Making Bracelets: Finding the Halina Style

Halina is changing, evolving. 🌱 For the last 1 and a half years, I have focused making earrings only thinking that this is my area of strength. I have gotten a lot of requests to add in bracelets, so I did try last 2019, but somehow it felt like the designs wasn't really me.

The 1st try I had for the bracelet was this glass beaded ones, I like the colors but found this too plain or still lacking. I received did have a good sales when I placed it at my then partner store at The Nook Lifestyle Store in Espana, Manila. I would bring these bracelets at my bazaar as an add-on but they rarely get noticed as compared to the earrings.

The 2nd try was an experimental design using local wooden beads. I included these bracelets together with my wooden earring designs at The Naturale Market Store, in BGC Taguig. Now, I never saw myself as the one who'd be into the wooden designs! Haha! But since the store is an environmental-friendly one, I made use of a lot of wood and natural materials for the products I brought in.

After these 2 tries, I stopped making a bracelets, I felt like they aren't my strongest suit and I wasn't in love with the ones I did before. But since the pandemic hit, more than selling - Halina's aim is also sharing the art and the beauty of handmade accessories.

With the ample time I have during this quarantine, I'm now making bracelets that are really my style, with the materials I would personally wear! 💕 Like these, full of colors, in different designs/combination and also adding pearls and gold beads as accents!

I remember the saying "three time's a charm", because this is my 3rd attempt to make and sell bracelets and it turns out I love using semi-precious stones. I've been using stones in most of my earring designs and have gotten to know their different names, colors and healing properties. Semi-precious stones are high quality material, smooth, long-lasting and each stone has a different marking from all others. Now that I look at these bracelets I newly made, I'm sure it fits Halina's personality and also hoping our customers would like them! Excited to release the 1st ever Halina bracelet collection this coming September! Abangaaaaaan~~~
